About speed dating
The speed dating evenings are great fun. For best results we recommend you come along with an open mind and don’t take it too seriously. You’ll having a great time, you’ll meet lots of single people and you might meet someone special.
What happens at an event
When you arrive you will see a SpeedDater Host in a T-shirt who will register you in to the event and give you a scorecard, a name badge and a pen. Once everyone has arrived the SpeedDater host will explain how speed dating works and answer any questions.
Then the dating begins. Usually women will stay seated while men will rotate every three minutes when the bell rings. After each date participants mark on a scorecard whether they would like to see that person again. At the end of the evening many people stay around to chat to the people they’ve just met.
After the event
At the end of the evening everyone takes their scorecards home with them to enter their ticks online on SpeedDater’s website. And after the event you can contact anyone you meet through their secure website. All their events are guaranteed! If you don’t meet at least one person you’d like to see again your next event is free.
