Necessary Items to Keep in Your Handbag

As a woman, you may sometimes feel lost without your handbag. Handbags are not just designer items that we tote around with just for looks. No, handbags are carrying vessels. Wearing The Right Bra Means Great Breast Support

The early undergarments, such as brassieres and corsets, were used to make the waist extremely small and the breasts flat and formless. Luckily, these pieces of clothing are not in vogue anymore. Nowadays, bras and undergarments are created to protect and enhance the bust and support the upper torso. Gone are the days when you have to make your breasts as inconspicuous as possible and your waist as tiny as the circumference of a solo-sized pizza.

But despite the recent technological advances in the bra industry, there are still a lot of women who do not know how to choose the right type, size and cup to use. Hence, many are suffering in silence because their bras are small, deformed, and even unsightly. Perhaps, the average Jane is still not comfortable about asking the help of sales specialists in lingerie stores.

When it comes to giving up smoking, pick the start date carefully

In fact, giving up smoking is far from the only thing affected by the menstrual cycle — the ebb and flow of hormones have a powerful impact on nearly all aspects of your life. So, make the time of the month work for you.

The best time to give up drink and drugs Scientists have discovered powerful links between cravings and hormones. Recently, researchers at the University of Minnesota found that women who gave up smoking in the follicular part of their cycle (from the start of their period until ovulation on about day 14) were half as likely to remain smoke-free as those who gave up in the luteal phase (after ovulation, but before the start of the next period). Only two in 10 of the women who gave up in the earlier phase managed to abstain; however, in the second group, four in 10 were successful. Why? It seems the high levels of progesterone found in the luteal phase can help to move nicotine out of the system more quickly, thus reducing withdrawal symptoms. Studies also show women are more easily tempted to smoke by seeing other people smoking when oestrogen levels are high, as in the follicular phase.

Women of Today

We talk about equality, equal wages, political correctness and acceptability in all walks of life. But it is worth considering whether these factors apply, when it comes to women. They are paid less in their work places and in the field of games such as Tennis. It’s a kind of accepted saying that women work less than men and therefore deserve less! It may have been true in the past when women were expected to stay at home and look after the children and nothing more. But women have changed over the years: they have ‘come out’!

Intelligent, sharp-witted, agile, independent and immaculately dressed; there you have it, ‘the New Super Power’, the women of today! She is capable of accomplishing anything, if given the chance. She goes out to work and return home in the evening, only to find that the evening meal is yet to be prepared! How many men do you find who are happy to show their culinary expertise in the kitchen? Estrogen fuels feelings of power and competition in women in much the same way testosterone does in men

, researchers said on Wednesday in a study that shows the need to win is every bit as feminine as it is masculine, reports Reuters.

Estrogen levels shot up in power-motivated women when they won and plummeted when they lost, while the opposite was true in women who appeared not to be interested in power, the researchers found.

“The biology of dominance in women has been vastly under- researched. On top of that, it sets up very nice parallels with men and testosterone,” said Steven Stanton of the University of Michigan, who conducted the study.
